Our Camberwell Residence takes a darker, moodier approach, pairing Super White Dolomite with black Woodmatt joinery for a bold, sophisticated interior.

One of the things I love about interior design is the opportunity to work across such different styles and palettes.

No two projects are the same, and I enjoy finding the right balance of materials, tones and textures to create a home that feels personal to each client.

Final inspection | Blackburn ELC

A project is not finished simply because the construction work is complete.

Final inspections are about walking the project in detail, reviewing finishes, testing functionality and identifying the remaining items that need to be resolved before handover.

After months of coordination and construction, it is rewarding to see Blackburn ELC reach this stage.

Final inspection | Blackburn ELC.

The external spaces are complete and the transformation from construction site to finished early learning environment is great to see.

At final inspection, our focus is on the details. Reviewing finishes, landscaping, accessibility, interfaces and outstanding defects to make sure the project is properly resolved before handover.

Months of coordination come together at this point, and spaces like this are what project delivery is ultimately about.

Final inspection | Blackburn ELC.

After months of planning, coordination and construction, the project has reached one of its most important stages. Our focus now shifts from managing the works to carefully reviewing the finished spaces, closing out defects and making sure the project is ready for handover.

It is always rewarding to see the drawings, decisions and countless details come together into a finished environment ready for children, educators and families.

Heathmont ELC | The final push at Heathmont ELC.

A look back at the project as the external areas moved through their final stages, with the playscape, landscaping, services and finishing works all progressing around a completed building.

This stage is all about sequencing. Multiple trades, limited space and plenty of small details still to resolve before handover.

Seeing it from above gives a great perspective on just how much coordination goes into bringing a project across the finish line.

Blackburn ELC | Throwback to when it all started at ground level.

A look back at the slab pour, when reinforcement, services, penetrations and set outs were being progressively covered and the building footprint was starting to become real.

These early milestones can feel a long way from the finished project, but the coordination undertaken here sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Always good to look back and see how far a project has come.

Throwback to Blackburn ELC slab pour | A different perspective on progress.

From above, you can see just how much coordination sits behind a concrete pour. Reinforcement, formwork, penetrations, services and set outs all need to come together before the structure can move forward.

These are the stages where early coordination matters. Resolving interfaces before they are cast into concrete protects the programme and reduces costly changes later.
