Romans 10:17 NIV
[17] Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

As we fellowship with God at this time of our lives and the year, it is important that we learn and understand the art of faith as someone without faith is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Fellowship with us tomorrow as we go into the knowledge of faith as our reality as children of God.

I took a leap of faith when God led me to Petra Ibadan in October and that decision marked a significant turning point in my spiritual walk. I walked in for my first service 3rd November 2024, and right from the reception at Ashers I knew I had found it. Eureka! The warmth, love, genuine joy and sense of community were palpable, making me feel like I had finally found a place to call home. The excellence put on display by every department in that service were chains that wouldn't make me rescind. Despite past experiences that had left me feeling disconnected, I found Petra to be a breath of fresh air.

Pastor Gideon's message on my first Sunday lives rent free in my head. The theme was 'Too months, Too much'. It was two months left in the year and he taught on how much can change by the power of a sent word in a seemingly little time. It was an experience and of course, I kept coming back for more! I gradually became established, completed growth track classes, and joined the workforce. Through this journey, I've witnessed accelerated growth in my faith, love, character and yes, my fire burns stronger!

Petra Christian Centre has been a blessing to me, and I'm grateful to have found a community that aligns with my values and deepens my relationship with God.
I am Petra, built solid on the rock of the Word that never fails. I am Petra, my faith is active and produces great results. I am Petra, my hopes are fadeless, for I dream new dreams every day. I am Petra, an extension of the love and character of Jesus to my world. Glory!!!

Show us the light O Lord, that we can walk in that power and reality...
This is our prayer Lord. 🙏

NB: Staying with the word gives us that light we need to have.
Do not miss an avenue to share God's word.
