Pondicherry Visions and Instincts - Dwelling in the Multiplicity of Time Urban Photography Series What makes you step inside a building ? It’s facade ? Aesthetics ? Ease of approach / access ? Porosity ? Or simply its use ? We walk many streets everyday, but only relate to a few, and even fewer make us want to go back there again. The coming posts are a part of the series called “Pondicherry Visions and Instincts - Dwelling in the Multiplicity of Time ” these aim to capture the beautiful evolving facades and the transitional spaces in between from the White Town in Pondicherry, South India. Things that may contribute to a vibrant street life, how sidewalks can almost become a theatre stage like Jane Jacobs once said, most importantly what makes a street a public space and what are the ways to reclaim it ! If you have a street that you can relate to - share it with us explaining what makes it special and tag @decoding_urbanity and we ll share your favourite space! #urban #urbanity #urbanism #pondicherry #whitetown #french #colony #architecture #colonial #streetscape #urbandesign #wayfinding #cityscape #cityexploration #streetdesign #signage #decodingurbanity #citiesforpeople #colonialarchitecture #evolving #facade #gates #doors #entrances #transitions
