I knew I wanted my brows done, but I was also very particular about who I was going to let do them.

@chaybrows at @pokeandstroke has been doing brows exclusively for 10 years, and the thing I love about her is that she really looks at your face. Your bone structure, your face shape, how your natural brows grow. She’s not recreating the same brow over and over again.

After my initial appointment and two follow-ups, we landed on exactly what I wanted: fuller, more defined, but still really natural and still very much me.

She really is an artist.

HOW DOES SALINE REMOVAL WORK? 🧂🍋✨

Saline removal is a pigment-lightening technique that uses @liftinkremoval -a high-salt, non-acid solution designed specifically for tattoo and permanent-makeup pigment lightening.

So what actually happens?

💧 1. OSMOSIS
The saline solution contains a higher concentration of salt than the surrounding tissue. This creates an osmotic process that helps draw fluid toward the area where the solution has been implanted (by tattooing it in) helping move unwanted pigment toward the skin’s surface when healing

🧂 2. PIGMENT IS LIFTED
As the skin heals, pigment is carried toward the surface and becomes incorporated into the natural healing crust/scab.

🌿 3. THE INGREDIENTS HAVE PURPOSE
Li-FT® contains: • Lemon seed extract — supports fading and exfoliation
• Orange seed extract — supports pigment lightening and exfoliation
• Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice — soothing and skin-supportive
• Calendula extract — traditionally used to soothe and support skin healing
• Sterile water — the liquid base
• Sodium benzoate + potassium sorbate — preservatives that help maintain product stability

✨ 4. HEALING REVEALS THE RESULT
Once the skin has completely healed and the crusting has naturally shed, the treated area can appear lighter. Because every person's pigment, skin and previous PMU work are different, results and the number of sessions needed vary.

The goal isn't to rush the skin — it's to lighten unwanted pigment while respecting the healing process. 🤍

I wanted bold brows without looking overly done and @chaybrows absolutely nailed it. I genuinely think this balanced my whole face in the best way.

What made this experience different is how truly intentional Chay is with her work. She’s been tattooing brows for 10 years and built her entire career around just this. Every face is approached differently. Every brow is customized. Nothing is cookie cutter. She’s an artist.

There’s something really comforting about being in the hands of someone who’s spent a decade doing one thing, exceptionally well.
