Remember this for next time 🏆🎬

You don’t need to meet everyone in the room.
You need to know how to read the room.

Before your next networking event, remember R.O.O.M.

R — Read
Who has influence, access, ideas or resources?

O — Observe
What conversations, needs and opportunities keep appearing?

O — Organize
Who should know each other? Where is the alignment?

M — Make it possible
Create the introduction. Start the conversation. Follow through.

An attendee collects contacts.
A strategist connects dots.

The question isn’t just:
“Who did I meet?”

It’s:

“What became possible because I was in the room?”

Save this before your next event. 📌
And send it to the person you’re walking into the next room with.

Some opportunities are simply too valuable to miss. ✨

Recently, I attended Polished @polished.to, and although I was exhausted and almost stayed home, I’m so glad I showed up. Being in a room filled with passionate beauty professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and innovators was a powerful reminder that your next opportunity is often one conversation away.

Networking isn’t just about exchanging business cards—it’s about building genuine relationships, sharing ideas, learning from others, and creating partnerships that move industries forward.

I was especially proud to represent the Vocational Training Development Institute (VTDI)—the institution committed to shaping minds and preparing the next generation of educators and beauty practitioners through quality training and professional development.

If you’re attending the Jamaica International Beauty Expo @beautyexpojam this weekend, be sure to stop by the VTDI booth! Come meet our team, learn about our programmes, explore exciting opportunities in the beauty industry, and discover how VTDI can help you take your career to the next level.

See you at the Expo! 💄✨

Some rooms shape your business. Others shape you.

Pageantry has reminded me that confidence isn't just built through mindset. It's also reflected in how you care for yourself. Skin health, presentation, and self-respect all become part of the story you tell before you ever speak.

Grateful to have attended this event hosted by Orica Smart and to continue learning from professionals who are refining their craft every day.

Never underestimate the value of networking outside your immediate industry. The right conversations, environments, and people often become part of the foundation that helps you show up at your highest level.

Me and @officialjhunellewong
My pageant sister met for the first time and got to work happy to have connected with you through this pageant👑💎

Every connection has the potential to refine something, be intentional think in terms of success and legacy will be easily built.

Every room teaches you something and on my refining journey I noticed this very important thing

One conversation can introduce a new perspective. One event can expose you to a habit, skill, or idea that changes the way you think. That's why I value networking, not for collecting contacts, but for collecting wisdom.

Networking isn't about being everywhere. It's about being intentional. Position yourself in rooms that align with your vision, your values, and the person you're becoming.

Thank you to @theospot for inviting me to the @polished.to Beauty Expo and for helping prepare my skin for the @officialmrsuniversejamaica Every experience, every conversation, and every connection is another opportunity to refine.

Growth isn't built by staying where you're comfortable. It's built by placing yourself where your future already exists.

The refining journey continues join me on the grand stage @achotelkingston July 4th 2026 as I am a finalist in the @officialmrsuniversejamaica pageant!

Show up, be authentic, and let your confidence do the talking.

Had an amazing time at @polished.to
@polished.to

The ultimate skincare event where we got to network with other Bosses and join conversations about skin, preventing burnouts, getting it right mentally and just a reset when needed.

The atmosphere was amazing as the DJ provided the hits and oh! the food was good! The ambiance and staff @oneparkja @oneparkja was very accommodating!
Our host, the amazing @tahjaera ensured we all deep dived and answer some internal questions.
And the ladies chatted as if we all knew each other
