📚💅✨A little behind-the-scenes nail therapy showing how my Dain/Cath mani feat. @mooncat Arsonist came together to celebrate 2 months on insta🎉Everyone’s been so welcoming! Thanks for sticking around, yapping about books and polish with me, and letting me join the fun🥰

❤️Honestly, I’m not someone that has ever been really invested in taking pictures or videos for my personal life BUT I’ve really enjoyed learning over the past month and I’m excited to keep working on improving how I share my ideas with you guys. It’s definitely part of the creative process that scratches that itch in my brain. Finding a fun background, or the right inspo for a post is part of the fun💁🏻‍♀️

🏴‍☠️✨ A pirate’s treasure, delivered straight to me from @loveboundlibrary 📦📚

There are sadly no cute romance bookstores where I live but I discovered this store has regular events, supports women and queer authors, AND had signed copies that they are willing to ship across the US!

When I realized they currently have signed copies of the Ever Seas series by @authorljandrews after her release event for the Stolen Crown, there was absolutely no chance I was leaving that treasure behind.

🎉 Congratulations to LJ Andrews on the newest release! I cannot wait to dive back into the Ever Seas world and see what amazing manis I can come up with to celebrate these stories💅

❤️‍🔥Cath & Dain
I never thought I’d be making a Dain-inspired manicure AND feeling bad for the guy, but here we are. 🙃

I chose @mooncat the Arsonist for Cath- a gorgeous classic fiery red shimmer for the biggest rule-follower around and his dragon. I love that Cath isn’t afraid to give him a reality check when he gets too hung up on Codex😅

As for Dain I’m officially a convert. He was definitely not my favorite in Fourth Wing and then throughout Onyx storm the evolution went:
❤️…Do we…feel bad for Dain?
❤️…Do we…like Dain now?
❤️…Is Dain…hot?!?!

We can all at least agree that Colonel Aetos sucks and Threshing Day gave us a glimpse into how awful that man really is even to his own son.😡

Has Dain’s arc changed how you feel about him, or are you still firmly on the Dain hate train?

❤️‍🔥🐉 Not me developing sympathy for Dain Aetos in 2026… his Dad can kick rocks and I think Cath agrees!

🧡🔥📚🐉Marbh feat. @mooncat Light of Your Ninth Life is the next dragon featured in my Threshing Day series. I chose a glow-in-the-dark polish that brings a little extra magic to the look because with orange dragons you should always expect the unexpected!

Brennan is clearly the oldest sibling who feels the weight of carrying the family on his shoulders and I loved learning how he bonded his unpredictable orange. Meeting Daddy Sorrengail was a fun bonus as well!

Some favorite quotes from this guy:
🧡Everything is a game if you’re smart enough to see the board

🧡You have yet to earn a first name when your last overpowers it

🧡Think of all the battles we will win with that bird-sized brain of yours

💅🐉 Catching up on swatches, catching up on my audiobook, and apparently catching feelings for Luther Corbois. 👀📚

I finally sat down to do some swatching and listened to the first part of Glow of the Everflame by @authorpenncole while I worked… and Luther is broody, protective, and HOT🥵🔥❤️‍🔥 I mean I’m less than 100 pages in and we’ve already got the only one horse, training montage, and enemies to lovers tropes in full swing here! Diem’s continued focus on Henri is confusing to say the least.

All of these beauties are @mooncat ! I feel like their cremes are slept on, but every one I’ve ever owned is good to go in 1 coat, and the 4 in this video are no exception✨

Annnd somewhere in this lineup is my next dragon color for my Threshing Day inspired mani series… 🐉👀 Any guesses which shade made the cut?

The way this man YEARNS 🔥🗡️. I’m currently obsessed with this series by @gretchenwritesbooks . For Sir Cedric Thorne I of course had to incorporate some golden light but I kept coming back to forest/emerald green as well as a nod to his favorite Lady Victor’s eyes #gretchenpowellfox #shatteredcrownseries #sircedricthorne

I just know The Revenant would love some Joan Jett. Ellyria is bold, fierce, feminine, and doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks. If you love a trope with a twist this shadow-wielding queen’s story is for you🧚🏻🗡️💜✨

I was so excited to do this mani inspired by Ellyria Lightbreaker and her beautiful and distinctive wings. I felt they deserved a tribute after finishing Book 2 in the Shattered Crown series by @gretchenwritesbooks. I played with a lot of glossy finish ideas but ultimately decided on a matte gold topper (@mooncat Fool’s Gold) to include her connection with our favorite MMC. A post with everything I used coming soon!

💚Teine feat. @mooncat Plankton + My Cabbages! Seeing Mira and her reasonable green’s bond was an interesting look into another character’s head. While Violet sees her badass older sister with a bit of a temper, Mira sees herself as constantly having to prove her worth and value to her family, and she’ll do anything to keep the people she loves out of harms way🐉💚📚 #nailsnailsnails #booksandnails #threshingday #bookstagram #nailstagram

🧡Glane featuring @mooncat Jasmine Dragon. Please excuse the chips from work, this dragon/mani has lived a life. I thought this fiery orange was perfect for our *19yo* dragon who has DEFINITELY not won many glorious battles😅 #booksandnails #threshingday #glane #nailsnailsnails #indienailpolish
