How has it been a week and a day since this stunning wedding? Rain on your wedding day makes for the moodiest photos. It started pouring down for “sunset” photos but doesn’t mean no photos — just a slight adjustment. Thankful for Eric with @ampedsoundandlighting for taking on a role he didn’t have to by chauffeuring Hannah, Peter, two photogs, and a content creator so we could still get some beautiful shots 🌧️

Thank you to everyone who joined for my book signing in Nashville and for @loveshackfancynashville for being the most wonderful host. I only wish I could have stayed a little longer! ✈️

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the @bnfairfax tonight (March 23) and a few more cities coming up. 💛

If you’re not able to make one of the book signings, you can now find Was It Something I Said? everywhere books are sold.

Host a Cookie Exchange + Favorite Things Party with me Part 2🎄✨

➡️ Save this for holiday hosting inspo for next year!

If you haven’t thrown a favorite things party + cookie exchange with your besties yet, let this be your sign 🤍

How we did it:
• Ideal for 8–12 people
• Everyone signs up for a cookie to bake + bring (2 dozen)
• I provided cookie boxes so everyone could take home a mix of each cookie 🍪

🎁 Everyone also brings two identical “favorite things” gifts
• We set a $30 per item limit (adjust as needed!)
• Draw numbers to choose gifts
• We went 1–10, then snaked back 10–1 so the last person gets two picks in a row

Have you ever hosted or attended a cookie exchange or favorite things party? 👇

As a wedding planner, it’s such a joy to witness the magic from the bride’s perspective. The moment she walks down the aisle, everything else fades away. The world feels still, the love in the air is palpable, and in that instant, she sees only her future husband waiting at the altar. Every step is a reminder of how far they’ve come together, and how beautiful their journey ahead will be. The ceremony is not just a moment; it’s the beginning of their forever.
