When Polly Barks moved to Wheeling in 2025, she came for the feeling she couldn’t quite explain. One year later, she’s helping create that same sense of connection for others.

From Ohio Valley Mutual Aid efforts and food distribution with community dinners and neighborhood projects in Warwood, Polly has become a familiar face and a driving force for bringing people together.

Her little story is a reminder of how quickly community can grow when people show up for one another! Thanks for choosing Wheeling, Polly. We are so glad you are here!!

So many thanks to my friends @jesreger_watercolor & @wildheartmindi for organizing the inaugural Art Remix Live event last month. We raised $4,256 for Wheeling flood relief! The OV art community is full of kind-hearted, generous, and insanely talented people and I couldn’t be happier or prouder to be a part of it. Let this serve as inspiration to everyone: get out into your community and DO THINGS. That’s where the real change happens. ✌️✨
