Dearest IG Friends!

As many of you know, I am very proud of my #Ukrainian heritage. The past month has been a rollercoaster of emotions as one government and one deranged man behind the blood-soaked walls of the #kremlin has unleashed an unprovoked and diabolical war against #Ukraine!
.
This war must stop. Innocent people are being killed, BABIES are being killed just because they are #Ukrainian 🇺🇦!
.
.
While millions have been displaced because of the war, the compassion and generosity of the community of democracies have come to assist those #Ukrainians afflicted by the war. One angel of peace has been @chefjoseandres and his humanitarian organization @wckitchen.

A fundraiser has been started to benefit his amazing work with #Ukrainians. Please consider giving generously to help feed and provide sustenance to those suffering the effects of #russia’s war.

Thank you!
Дякую!

Слава Україні! 🇺🇦

Peaches and Cream!
.
This is what happens when you go peach picking in the #shenendoah mountains @hollinfarms - you bake a peach and blueberry cake!
.
.
But this is no ordinary cake…it’s a simple buttery walnut pastry crust, 2lbs of freshly sliced juicy peaches, a handful of blackberries and blueberries, and thickened with tapioca flour. One word describes this…DELICIOUS 😀
.
.
.
*** TIP *** macérate the peaches a bit of peach schnapps to enhance the peach essence. Your taste buds will thank you 😊

Take the Plunge
.
Because it’s Friday night...martini 🍸 time 🎉 ! How many olives do you prefer submerged in the elixir? 😜 I don’t just bake - make a mean cocktail too 😄
.
.
Now, the very important IG questions:
1) gin or vodka (do I have to ask?)
2) shaken or stirred? (again, do I have to ask)
3) vermouth- if so, how much?
.
.
.
PS...baking comes tomorrow...stay tuned 😜
