Super Girl and Bladies Sk8 Jam
(2026-08-22 • Oceanside, CA)
•
Saturday brought out the blade and quad communities for some fun in the sun at the @supergirlpro and @bladeladies Sk8 jam. A wide, 6’ tall mini ramp was the playground for skaters to show off big air and grinds for new and old fans alike. While it was a competition, the love and support amongst the 8-wheeled communities took center stage over the heat of the day. It was an awesome event with hopefully some new people wanting to pick up a pair of skates for themselves.

Enjoy this small sampling of what I was able to capture throughout the contest. There’s a lot more to view (and download) on my Flickr - link in bio.

Finished my Dental Hygiene program! Now I can go out into the community and do some good work.
I want to thank everyone who came up and visited me in Great Falls or was a friend during this time in general. I was mentally preparing myself for an isolated, lonely two years (and it was sometimes) but there was much love to be shared throughout on account of family and friends who were there for support. If you came to sit in my chair: a million thanks, you are people so generous of time and heart to let me learn providership with you. All yall: love you soooo much. 💗🎊🫶✨🥲🦷

Whether it’s a blank canvas or a sheet of ice, I’ve realized that growth happens when you face what scares you. This past February, I participated in my very first figure skating competition as an adult beginner!
Stepping out of my comfort zone and onto that ice was one of the most exhilarating and rewarding experiences of my life.
I’m so proud of the courage it took just to show up—and walking away with a silver medal wasn’t a bad way to wrap up my debut. I made a few missteps during my program and let my frazzled nerves get the best of me. Considering how nervous I was I’m surprised I was able to skate at all!
A special thanks to my awesome coach Terri Suzanne for believing in me, and to my family and friends for the uplifting and supportive cheers.
Also, a big thank you to my skating companion @pollyskates for encouraging me to take the leap and enter the competition. And a HUGE Congrats on receiving the gold medal! 🎉
You all turned a scary challenge into a celebration I’ll never forget!

Appreciate you, @paddyp111, for the draft party tickets. Spent part of the day exploring and found some new spots to skate, then ran into Polly and Megan at Shoptask before heading over. Great atmosphere at the party and really cool seeing the Lombardi Trophy in person. Good people, good energy all day.
