Believe in others believe in yourself believe in the things that actually represent the world you’d want to participate in then decide they are worth sharing for the mere sake life is long but also short and it doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but yourself but there will inevitably be -

beautiful people along the way that do see you and celebrate you for all of your unique gifts. Being invited to write poems at Emma’s wedding felt like one of those moments. To be believed in is such a powerful gift!! I will remember this magical rainy day not only because the ceremony was truly beautiful, but because it reminded me how important it is to show people we believe in their potential & how wonderful that belief is to receive.

So cheers to an everlasting love between you and Matt miss Emma! Your investment in my dreams has forever changed my brain chemistry on what is possible and what should be protected amongst humans🥳🧃💌

I’ve alsooo included some bts of the preparation process :) I wanted to customize stamps for the special duo so I hand carved some wood into initials - hiccups were had - in my first take on whittling. Thankful an M can also be an E if you just believe 🌸💅

STORY TIME! 🌸 Emma & Matt always planned to get married in the beautifully landscaped driveway at Emma’s grandma’s house that was carefully planned and manicured over the last year.

When we realized a storm was coming the Monday before this Sunday LDW wedding, we quickly ordered clear bubble umbrellas for guests during the ceremony, preparing that it might be a light drizzle and tented the entire backyard for cocktail hour and reception. Just a nice cozy sprinkle that guests could be shielded with the umbrellas (miss Mother Nature found this hilarious).

Well, almost every single weather app we relied on leading up to, and on the wedding day incorrectly predicted that rain would subside before the ceremony time. When it became very clear that the rain wasn’t letting up just 1 hour before guest arrival, I had to make the tough decision to move the ceremony under the tent, right on the dance floor in the middle of the dinner table setup. This was always our Plan C, but we really tried to avoid it. The one thing we can’t control is WEATHER!

Quickly my team, catering, the house managers, the string quartet, and the floral team dropped everything they were doing for all hands on deck to transform the reception space into a guest-ready ceremony. I can’t believe what we pulled off in an hour (even less) to not only get Emma & Matt officially married, but keep guests dry and comfortable, with champagne in hand, AND still manage to make it look BEAUTIFUL, elevated, and cozy (even though it was much tighter than the driveway space). Thankfully we had stunning rentals and linens in place 😇

Emma & Matt, along with their families and wedding party, kept the vibes so high and easygoing, it truly made this unexpected transition seamless and wonderful. I’m still so grateful to them and our hardworking vendor team who pulled this off!!
