I was on a mission to find additional seating for my new apartment and ended up selecting this stellar piece from @polyandbark It was the perfect addition to my space and ticked all the boxes I was looking for. After my bad rug choices, I think I got this one right 😅. It also paired beautifully with my @gild1978 ‘PLUME’ throw 😉

You wanna know the secret to being happy with content creation? KEEP EVOLVING!

Seriously, stop convincing yourself that you have to keep doing the same thing just because that's what people are used to seeing from you.

Try something new. Change your setup. Experiment with different ideas. Do what makes YOU happy, and most importantly, have some damn fun with it!

Speaking of changing things up, my new chair from Poly & Bark came in today, and I absolutely LOVE IT! Beautiful wood, gorgeous leather seating, and exactly the kind of look I've been wanting for my setup.

Sometimes it's the little changes that make you excited to sit down and create something again.

Your content should grow with you. Don't be afraid to switch things up just because something else has been working.

What have y'all changed about your content lately? Or what's something you've been wanting to try but haven't pulled the trigger on yet?

•• A closer look at Tanglewood Family Room ••

This room was such a joy to work on! It already had the best bones with creamy walls, vaulted ceilings, those beautiful beams, and an oversized fireplace that anchors the whole space.

Our client was ready for a furniture refresh and wanted pieces that felt elevated but were still incredibly cozy and comfortable, especially since this is where their family spends most of their time together.

Spatial planning was a big part of this project. We wanted to maximize seating without sacrificing comfortable walk paths, and I’m so happy with how it all came together!

One of my favorite details is the art. Our client is a photographer who loves to travel, so rather than purchasing new artwork, we filled the walls with photographs from her own adventures. I love how personal it makes the space and how each piece tells a little part of their family’s story.

Thank you to @mara_martyniuk for being a great creative teammate in helping me execute our vision. I truly couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out! 🤍

And a huge thank you to our talented client @lindseyjeannephotography for capturing these beautiful after photos!

First spooky season at the A. The lack of horizontal space has been made glaringly obvious as we decorate. We are still in need of some furniture, but have started the decorating process. Some things we've had for years waiting for the Aframe to be built, others we've purchased recently on a whim. Things are starting to find their homes. We even went to our favorite pop up shop (@eddystreetvintage) today and prices some more decor, even though we didn't have any where to put it yet. 🤣 Maybe next year we'll be full go.

Let’s make this house a home 🏡

We moved so bring on all the house projects. Starting off easy, let’s add a little cutie patootie paper lantern light (one that I had wanted to hang for the last 2 yrs) finally get to pull it out of the box and let it shine 💡✨

Comment “light” and I’ll DM you all the deets to DIY too.

We’ve got so much work cut out for us, but this is a good start!

The sitting room REVEAL!

We moved in here with a tiny baby 7 years ago. Then came another. Then came jobs and life… and we never got around to this room. Which is a shame because it’s the first room you see upon entry!

And this might be controversial coming from a Realtor, but if you’re not selling anytime soon… you don’t need to style your home like you are. You live there. You bought it! Enjoy it.

My style is eclectic. Those prints are family heirlooms from Kentucky, save for the classic floral I picked up from @dogwoodinteriors and the Dali lithograph from @briggsauction . The peacock? Found him on the street in the LES. One man’s trash, my treasure. The derby print is by @lennonmichalski and the barn quilt from a local West Jefferson artist. I love that we already owned it all. It’s a very personal collection.

The room needed to function as a hang spot but also my husbands WFH office. Chaotic? Sure. Moody? Yes. Neutral…. No.

Next up… the powder room!

Swipe to see the before

My clients decided to keep existing flooring, walls, suspension lights, drapery and a lovely piece of modern art. They had very traditional decor originally and wanted a smooth transition into a more contemporary space.
