This looks like it could be the album cover for Dobby, @pompompenny_, and @morkiebailey’s debut record 💿 what would you name our band and what kind of music would we make?

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed my social circle getting smaller. None of my close friends live in Toronto anymore. Everyone moved away for work or moved back home to be closer to family. We keep in touch as much as we can, but no amount of FaceTime calls can replace spending quality time together in person.

It’s so hard to forge new friendships as an adult. I was encouraged to get a hobby or play sports so I could meet new people and make new friends.

I’m the least coordinated person ever, so sports was definitely out 😂 I thought about my main hobbies - photography, video games, reading - and how I enjoy doing them as solo activities. Joining a book club or photography group wasn’t something that interested me.

Then Dobby came along and I started this account as a digital diary to document our life with him 🥹

The best and most unexpected part about creating an Instagram for Dobby has been the friends I’ve made because of it. Friends that I never would’ve met otherwise, even though some live just a few blocks away.
