The 2025–2026 Taconic Fellows have been hard at work with community partners across New York City, advancing projects on housing justice, environmental resilience, and community planning. 🏙️

Over the next few weeks, we’ll highlight their work, starting with these three teams and the organizations they’re collaborating with. Their projects range from a public exhibition to community organizing initiatives.

Learn more about the Taconic Fellowship at prattcenter.net/taconic or through the link in our bio.

We went on a mission today 💚🗽🌏 Is that time of the year! Switching to reusable totes is a small step with big results, helping reduce plastic waste and protect natural habitats. Let’s make sustainable choices together for a cleaner, greener future. 🌱👌🏼🤩 Shout out to our volunteers who make this happen!💚💙

Pratt SoA Spring 2024 Events
https://architecture.pratt.edu/articles/soa-spring-2024-events

This semester, we continue to explore the theme of cohabitations—a school-wide provocation to bring together the work of our community—across our four departments of the School of Architecture—around this question. cohabitations is both a descriptive adjective, a qualifying adverb, and a transitive verb that calls us all to action.

We look forward to the exciting lineup that includes lectures and conversations with GAUD alums, Abra Lee and Thaïsa Way, Michael Maltzan (the Syrop Annual Lecture), Pratt SoA Professor Giuliano Fiorenzoli, James Wines of SITE, Joshua Ramus, Reports from the Discipline convened by Pratt SoA Professor Catherine Ingraham, and a book talk for Architecture, Film, and the In-Between by Pratt SoA Faculty members Eva Perez de Vega, MJ Sieira, and Jason Vigneri-Beane. There will also be a symposium co-organized by UA and GCPE titled Engaging Communities: Pedagogy and Practice.

His certifications include a LEED GA, Safety Assessment Program Inspector, and WEDG Professional. Leonel holds a Master of Science in Urban Environmental Systems Management (now MS in SES) from Pratt.

One of our favorite events during Spring 2023 was walking the Pratt Trail Network lead by Taconic Fellows Professor Ira Stern and our fellow @pratt_ses classmates Harrison Nesbit and Aditi Galande.

Awarded a Taconic Fellowship Grant in Fall 2022, the Pratt Trail Network designed a circular 3.5 mile trail linking Pratt's Brooklyn campus with Fort Greene Park and the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative's (BGI) Naval Cemetery Landscape. The trail invite participants to walk, relax and, if they wish, make observations and collect ecological life-cycle (phenology) data.

This Thursday April 20, Taconic fellows will gather for a design charrette discussing different aspects of the trail. Please join us if you are available and swipe for the details!
