Old bones, new layers!

Framing is underway at the Crook Horner Lofts in Downtown Baltimore. We’re working with the property owners to reshape the ground floor commercial space for future tenants. We’re subtly adding new program while allowing the historic structure to remain the star of the show.

Ah, nothing link the smell of fresh sawdust! Exciting progress on this addition in Towson that includes sun-soaked gathering space for a multi-generational family and independent living for grandma. Despite a tight lot, large windows frame views of a lush, verdant landscape.

We finally got these disposable camera shots developed from our Holiday Party last year. Such great memories with wonderful friends at our former studio! Hoping we don’t have to wait until December to see y’all again.

About this time last year we were building a store! So much new, so much promise for the future. This is a little documentation of the making of the current cash wrap. Kacey’s husband Scott built the cash wrap, repurposing wood found in the building. Kacey painted several iterations of the mural wall until she felt she got it “right.” The day after her outpatient surgery for the removal of a precancerous polyp on her colon she got up and finished the mural wall behind the cash wrap. We were all dedicated to the completion of this project before the start of the holiday season. And we were able to finish the work, pass all inspections and open Nov 12th!! 🎉🎉🎉 We are planning something fun for the 1st anniversary of our new space! Continue on this journey with us! #northeastbaltimore

It’s been a whirlwind 2023! So much happened that it’s hard to fully re-cap or thank /mention everyone in one post who helped make this “dream shop” at reality this year. We fully renovated a previously vacant space while continuing operations in our current space, while planning and purchasing and processing inventory for the new space. It was a GIANT task for a TINY business! But we did it! 👏Thank you to everyone who gave their time, talents, resources and/or cheered us on along the way! We are cartwheeling 🤸🏽‍♂️ into 2024! 🫶🏼🎉💓🍾
