Lueur,

15 photographers from the pool collective are presenting their latest video works.
The screening serves as both a laboratory and a stage: projects at various stages of development are transslated into video form, narratives are condensed, and new forms of presentation are explored. The result is a diverse mix of positions, perspectives and approaches. After the screening, the evening continues with a small bar and two live concerts, offering an opportunity to chat with the artists.

PARFOIS, LA NUIT by Charlotte Aeb, Roxana Savin and Nella Stücker brings together three artistic practices and three distinct projects centred on a cross-cutting theme: the blurred boundary between reality and fiction, and the traditions that stem from this in the collective and individual imagination.

Hella from the series Keine AhnungIn my long-term project Keine Ahnung (since 2003), I have been photographing girls over many years. The video Hella shifts the focus from the portrait to the process: conversation, direction, and the relationship that makes the image possible.

« Fragments of process, glimpses into ongoing works, images in motion »

Last week the photo community gathered in Arles for the opening of Rencontres de la photographie, and we were right in the middle of it ☀️

Together with Centre de la photographie Genève we hosted a get together at Café Crème, the Swiss pop-up venue initiated by Pro Helvetia. Cake, rosé and lots of good conversations about what's happening in photography right now 🥂

We also joined the Futures programme. Futures connects 21 photography institutions across Europe and supports emerging artists with open calls, publications and portfolio reviews. Each year we nominate two artists who gain access to this network. This year we nominated Olga Bushkova and Julian Stettler 📸.
In Arles, Futures presented its new educational programme and welcomed new partner institutions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our partners across Switzerland and beyond 🧡

On Friday I drove to Switzerland very early, with the feeling that when I arrived the whole day would still be ahead of me.
In the afternoon I met up with Anne Gabriel Jürgens. We talked about our long term projects and how difficult it is to make decisions when you have so many strong images. We are planning to meet again soon to continue the feedback.
In the evening I was at the Zurich University of the Arts. The scale of the building and the possibilities it offers really impressed me. It made me wonder what it would be like to spend more time here, working and living in this different atmosphere.
On Saturday we went to Winterthur, to the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
It was a really sunny day, and many people came for the screening of our videos. In the end we stood together for a long time, talking.
It was so nice to see the pool again.
Thanks to Rea for your help, and to Olga and Jonathan.
