THIS WEEK ART HUB ★ on site animations + sculptures + paintings ★ a dedicated visual experimentation area where we delve deeper into the intersection of sound, art, and design.

For this edition of our Art Hub, visual artist @popcorn_zombie presents ★ Half Awake ★ a selection of works spanning animation, painting, and sculpture. Moving between 2D and 3D, the works explore world-building as a coping mechanism, transforming subconscious thoughts, emotions, and memories into intimate fictional universes.

Inspired by dreams, overthinking, lonely nights, and the search for answers, symbolic characters become representations of different mental states. Through after-dark landscapes, dream-like stillness, and recurring shades of blue, Half Awake explores loneliness as a space for both absence and calm, where grief slowly gives way to the comforting sense of something greater watching over you.

Come experience this cool world this Saturday from 9 PM onward ★

It’s Summer Season Closing 🌚 Summer flew by too quick, and we close indoor club season this Sept with a super spicy blend of sounds + artists showcases. We hosting fresh talent @marceldune 🫦 London-based multitalented artist, she moves between hard-edged electronics, provocative vocals and a distinctly punk attitude. With roots in jazz, opera and DIY culture, their sound is playful, rebellious and unapologetically expressive, built for sweaty dancefloors and spaces that celebrate freedom in all its forms. MarcelDune has already been releasing on labels like @rawppl @intrepidskin and already bringing their mischievous energy to Berghain, Tresor, RSO, FOLD +++

This time there won’t be any playing it safe in ROOM 1 with a blend of our signature “groove + ghetto” sounds, and plenty of attitude for this closing show. For our ROOM 2 @oldcaarfun is taking over with his minimal, eclectic groovy vinyl collection + for our ART HUB program we are beyond excited to host long time community member @popcorn_zombie with their super fun 3d art spanning from sculptures, animations and character design.

As usual a freshly restocked record store + we got our friends from @badberryclub back for a cutie popup! Don’t miss this last summer show, it’s 1000% 6 hours of super fun guaranteed for this one<3 TICKETS OUT NOW VIA LINK IN BIO xxx

I should have shared many posts about this before, but why not take the last chance to share a video of the beautiful culmination of 10 Co-design workshops for children called ‘Let’s Build Great Things @sharjaharchitecture’ Together with some incredibly dedicated volunteers and team members from the Sharjah Architecture Triennial and a group of incredible children, they hosted an open house + celebration of the journey we made this far. Children and young people have such profound ideas.

None of this is possible without what I witnessed was a truly passionate team of dedicated facilitators:

It was so wonderful being a part of @alserkalavenue inaugural Blank Space art residency, and most of all because of the hardworking independent artists and creatives I got to share it with. For an entire month, I spent every single day in this warehouse, and I’m so proud of what we built.

It felt very much full circle being here, having my first art residency in Alserkal, where I first began my career working in the arts scene of Dubai in 2022. Back then my goal was to one day come back to Alserkal as a resident artist, creating. And while it felt great that that goal came to realization this May, I must say the best part of it all was perhaps the people I got to do it with, the community we built. The misfits, the rebels, the ones doing things their own way🌹

In hindsight it’s quite crazy what we accomplished with Rooted. Transforming a whole warehouse in a week, creating a space that everyone - if they chose to - was welcome to be a part of, hosting an awesome concert thanks to @alternativ.wav and film festival thanks to @filmsocietydxb , having the space be filled up with @urbansketchersdubai , bringing sustainable fashion designers and initiatives into the space with @fash_revuae and of course, so many wonderful exhibition and events thanks to @karama_arts_club ❤️ Thank you to all the people that made the time to come and be a part of our space, whether for my exhibition, our events, or to visit my studio space. I appreciate you.

@rooted_dxb has definitely been the highlight of 2026, and in all the craziness that this year brought, here I felt grounded. This residency came perhaps at a time when I most needed a healthy distraction. When we were in this warehouse, nothing else mattered, just the art and the community. And for that, and for all the people that were a part of it, I am grateful❤️ May we remain rooted, growing, blooming🌹🌿
