Want to get crafty? 🎃 Our super cool neighbors at Tucson Creative Reuse are offering two Halloween workshops: build a wire skeleton ($20, 10 AM–12 PM) or Halloween bracelets ($15, 1–3 PM). Advance registration required! Scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up.

Most activities will begin around 11am but we will have more specifics soon. Bring your friends, bring the kiddos, wear your costumes, and come celebrate Halloween with our Fourth Avenue community! 🕸️🧡

Bird Tower Sculpture~A special collaboration for Rita by Mark Confer and Catherine Eyde. (we did it 🎉!)

It’s finished ! Here are some fun new slides with details of the piece.

I first met Rita at the Arizona School for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(many years ago). Rita was one of the students that helped treat me for PTSD. These students and acupuncture helped me immensely toward healing and I’m forever grateful ❤️‍🩹.
I loved seeing Rita over the years supporting the arts and giving to our community. She loved my artwork and I loved her spirit and spunk.

So happy to see my drawing embodied in this new form. (I wish she could too🩵)

My Bird Tower print is turning into a sculpture ! !

I made the image as part of my daily drawing project in 2011. It was a popular piece from this series.

The sculpture is being created for a benefit in memory of beloved human and healer Rita Confer @inbloomhh who died from cancer just over a year ago.

I collaborated with Rita’s husband(and craftsman) Mark Confer @mtrcyclemax who wonderfully cut out my shapes and made them stand tall. (Rita and Mark loved and lived with the Bird Tower Print in their home for many years💛)
