Fashion School Diaries is a new column on the Polimoda Journal, written by students for students. Each chapter explores a part of student life in Florence that rarely gets told: finding a home, starting an internship, and navigating relationships.

Chapter one belongs to Fashion Business alumna Aleksandra Popova. Home, for her, was never one address. It was a collection of wrong turns, strange encounters, and borrowed rooms, each one teaching her something about the city, and about herself. Florence, it turns out, can’t be rushed. It has to be lived in.

Read the full story at the link in bio, and find out why she kept a broom by her bed for three months.

Re-start and re-Connect Retreat
Yoga, Crystals & terme naturali immersi nella natura in Maremma
2-4 Ottobre 2026

Philippe Pourhashemi, a prominent voice in reporting back to us the current context of fashion on INSTINCT - the first edition focus.

I had the opportunity to ask Philippe his perspective and personal view on INSTINCT while at the JiyongKim Exhibition, to which he replied to with complete attention in his usual sharp, accurate & focused tone.

Thank you @philippe.pourhashemi
