POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Congrats to @phillyaaff on a successful opening night!

And congrats to @tadashinakamurafilms on an amazing film. If you have a chance, go check out @thirdactfilm! It’s a poignant, relatable, heartfelt and artful portrait of a father’s legacy through not only his career and work that he leaves behind but more importantly, through his son, who carries the torch.

It’s a film packed with lots of raw, reflective human moments while also balancing and being able to tell the story of Japanese-American culture and history in an artful approach along the way. Congrats to all who worked on this film and can’t wait to see it go far and be seen.

Shout outs also to @minervanavasca, whose short filn “desync” opened up beforehand. @phillyaaff’s programming team really did a great job pairing these films together thematically and I am always filled with pride when I see Filipinos crushing it in front of and behind the camera.

This time two weeks ago we were basking in the Emmy win for @underdogsdoc. What a roller coaster of a night!

Super grateful for receiving this honor for a third time and thank you to every single person who touched this project.

Thank you especially to @connorbarwin98 @jeffreytubbs.jt @jrendell215 and all the folks at @mtwbfoundation for making this project possible and trusting us with telling this story;

To our director @mariavattimo for her vision on how to tell the story of the Vare Gymnastics team and MTWB so artfully;

To the entire team at @maestrofilmworks that had a hand in this project: @joshenfilms @lex_morrison @mgcantu21 @mkaisr @poppapics @austindean113 @ryleemeyer @anniebydlon @stephen.yia and to the rest of the crew, including our producer @amanda_mcdonnell_ , this film would not have been what it was without you all.

And of course, thank you to @meld915 @hollaaagram and @pitachips for coming out to celebrate this win with me!

Congrats to all the storytellers who took home some hardware and cheers to continuing to tell stories that need to be told. ✌🏽

WE WON AN EMMY!!!

So grateful for the honor of receiving a Mid-Atlantic EMMY Award for our film this past weekend. Our team was on hand to receive the award at the official ceremony and it was a great testament to village it took to produce this film.

Thank you to @connorbarwin98 and the @mtwbfoundation for trusting us with telling this story; to the coaches and gymnasts of the Vare Gymnastics team for welcoming us into their world; to our director @mariavattimo for telling this story in such an artful way; and to the many hands that it took to bring this film to life.

We hope to find a permanent home for our film after our festival run to be able to further share this very Philly story with the rest of the world, but in the meantime, we are going to bask in this win and share it with the team. 🙏🏽🏆

Extremely proud and grateful that two of our animation projects recently won @collisionawards, which “celebrates the unique and incomparable creativity and technical talent in Animation and Motion Design.”

Both projects were in partnership with @childrensphila, taking home Silver Collision Awards for our Anxiety and Depression campaign and Gene Therapy (snippet featured here).

Big shoutout to our amazing animation team!!

Creativity is a muscle and like any muscle, it needs to be stretched, challenged, and flexed regularly. That means stepping away from the desk, shaking up the routine, and most importantly, having fun with your team.

Our Creative Ensemble Committee did just that, taking some of the crew out to Franklin Square Park last week with disposable cameras in hand. 36 frames of pure exploration and expression — no screens, no filters, just vibes.

Can’t wait to see what came out of those rolls. Stay tuned 📸

Feeling blessed to receive not one, not two but THREE @tellyawards for some recent projects.

Getting awards like these are a meaningful nod to the care and craft we put into our work — but we see them less as the goal and more as a reflection of the stories and people that make the work worth doing. Huge thanks to all that had a hand in bringing these projects to life!

Company, written and directed by @mgcantu21, was officially selected and screened as part of the “Family Ties” block at Philadelphia Film Society’s 2025 SpringFest last month! 🎉

We’re so grateful to have shared the story of 10-year-old Liam—navigating a year of change and finding comfort in an old passion—alongside such a thoughtful lineup of films exploring connection, growth, and family.

Huge thanks to @phillyfilmsociety for having us, and to everyone who came out to support. 💛🎒
