Before I picked up a camera, I was an event planner.

My whole job was making sure every single thing you dreamed up actually showed up on the day. The linens. The florals. The candles someone lit at exactly the right moment. I learned very quickly that the devil really is in the details. And people notice them.

That is why I will always ask for time with your untouched ceremony and reception before a single guest walks in.

You chose those chairs. You chose the florals, the charger plates, the cutlery, the glassware, the way the candlelight falls across the table. Every piece came from a vision you had for this day.

The heirloom ring. Your grandmother's earrings. The things you carried with you on purpose.

I don't photograph them just because they're pretty. I photograph them because they are part of your story. Part of the day you planned and imagined long before it arrived.

Your guests matter so much. They are the ones sharing in your love story, and those candid moments are some of my favourite frames of the whole day. But once the room fills, the details disappear behind the people.

So let's give them their moment first.

You picked them. You planned them. Let's remember them.

They don’t always know exactly what they’re doing.

They just know they’ll figure it out together.
