The Doss Effect – Voices of the Grind

10 moments. 1 relentless story.

Every rep hits different.
Every sprint demands more.
Every drop of sweat proves you showed up.

This is where limits get tested and excuses get left behind.
Focus sharpens. Effort compounds. Consistency builds monsters.

Watch our athletes dig deeper, move faster, lift stronger, and level up every single day. This is what our athletes do everyday @the_dosseffect ❗️

If you’re hungry for progress, this is your sign.
Double tap if you’re ready to push harder 💪

Summer is busy… all day, every day… hills, training, and a whirlwind of athletes.

This weekend marks the official end of it. High school athletes are already in motion. The last college athlete heads out this week.

Summer brings them all back—college kids, homegrown kids, random kids who come through. Past and present athletes filling the gym. Some been with us for a year, some 6+yrs.

It’s the highlight of my year. That’s why I don’t take summer vacations. I don’t want to miss a day, don’t want to miss a hill, don’t want to miss time with my DossEffect family when they’re home for such a short season.

Wishing every athlete—and even the non-athletes—the best as this school year begins.
Wishing our missionaries blessings on their journey.
And grateful for the safe return of one of them. 🙏🏽

Already counting down to Summer ’26.
I swear… I have the best “job.” ❤️

I always say it summer is the best time of year.
For a short window, I get to see every athlete I’ve trained.
It feels like my family comes back home reunited.

But the hardest part?
It’s always too short.
Some are heading off for the first time, others returning just to leave again.

This past week, we said goodbye to two athletes leaving for two years on their missions:

Porter – Mountain View grad, 3-sport athlete.
Landon – Highland grad, track star.

Four years together every single week
The last two years?
They were with me at 5am. Every morning.

Now, Porter’s off to Alaska.
Landon’s headed to the Philippines.

Watching them go hits different.
When you train someone that long, the connection goes beyond the sets and reps and the training. It’s trust. It’s shared struggle. It’s family.
Where fitness meets family !

Porter, Landon thank you for everything
Your work ethic.
Your loyalty.
Your energy every single day.

But more than that—thank you for the bond, the memories, and the life connection we’ll always share.

Y’all probably won’t see this for a while…
But I hope you know you’re forever family
Love you boys. 🤞🏽💙
