Time to meet our production designer! Porter John is a filmmaker from Little Rock, Arkansas. Recently, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. She recently directed her second and final short film while in school called Glo-Up, while her long-term goals are to direct films at a professional level as well as working as a production designer. Porter has worked as a crew member on a number of student short films in the last few years and especially loves working in the art department. Her thematic interests include feminism, religion, youth, social justice, and more. Porter has won awards for her directing in both of her short films at the UCA Film Festival (2022 and 2023).
