TERRIFUNNY. Buy art from young artists. It will be good for both of you. This wasn't a festival of blood & gore, (phew), but the films were deeply disturbing and that was fun. I went because it was an opportunity to sit in a car for 4 hours with a friend who is moving away. And also, I just could not face another day in that tiny room with that HuGE HEAD, (my own horror). And I'm glad I went. My new little painting is CRACKEN SNACK by Willow Hitchlock Festivals all start small. The folks who are interested are already there because they're the ones organizing it and doing all the work. And it's so much work. I think it's important for people who don't know they are interested to show up. That's how these things grow. It's inspiring to be surrounded by folks who are so passionate about something. I got back in the little room with the big head & we're ok. #BuyArtFromKids #HorrorFestival #MrHappySeat #DianesPaintedHouse #Terrifunny Tie dye T-shirt by @barefootlazertiedye Glass Octopus Earrings by @jenniferecaldwell

🏆🩸 SCREEN OF THE DEAD WINS BEST DEATH SCENE! 🩸🏆 Believe it or not, Screen of the Dead took home the Best Death Scene award at the 2026 Port Horror Festival! And the winning moment was our infamous eye-popping scene featuring Juliette Cousineau and Gabrielle Bruyère. 👁️💥 A huge congratulations to the entire cast and crew, and especially to Mathieu Bissonnette-Bigras and Alex Decarie for their fantastic practical effects work on the scene. You guys absolutely earned this one! A massive thank you as well to the entire Port Horror Festival team for an incredible weekend in Port Hope. We had such a great time, and we truly hope to be back next year with a brand-new film. #ScreenOfTheDead #PortHorrorFestival #BestDeathScene #AwardWinner #PracticalEffects #IndieHorror #CanadianHorror #HorrorFilm

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting animation legends Clive A. Smith @clivealivo and Melleny Melody @melleefresh at @porthorrorfest for a screening of the bonafide Canadian classic, Rock & Rule. Nelvana, the company behind R&R is a Saturday morning staple to anyone who was a child in Canada for the past 45 years and I geeked out hard chatting Rock & Rule, Boba Fett (look it up), and A Cosmic Christmas with them!
