Porto had us looking up.
Many told us not to spend too much time in Porto. We couldn't disagree more. Every street seemed to have something worth stopping for: colourful façades, tiled walls, old balconies, laundry hanging from windows and buildings that looked like they had been there forever.
We spent a lot of time simply walking around, looking up and noticing the little details. No itinerary, just wandering through Porto.

Prendre son temps à Porto. À chaque rue, il y avait quelque chose qui valait la peine de s’arrêter pour regarder: des façades colorées, des murs couverts de carreaux, de vieux balcons, du linge suspendu aux fenêtres et des bâtiments qui semblaient être là depuis toujours.
On a passé beaucoup de temps simplement à marcher, à regarder autour de nous et à remarquer les petits détails. Aucun itinéraire, juste l’envie de se promener dans Porto

We were excited to offer our NWFA Course, Wood Flooring in Commercial Spaces, as a Lunch & Learn for the inspiring @portoarc team at their Brooklyn offices.

Established in 2020, Porto Architecture is a venture built upon decades of experience designing and constructing experimental buildings, spaces, installations, and artworks. The firm’s international catalog of building typologies spans from cutting-edge retail stores to mountain retreats, large interactive museum exhibits to soaring residential towers.

We spent a wonderful afternoon together discussing the latest in commercial wood flooring and the innovative world of sustainable commercial design. We were thrilled that this amazing architecture and design firm chose our wood flooring company to teach this hardwood floors focused L&L.

For thirty-five years, we have focused our efforts solely on wood floors which gives us a unique and exceptional level of expertise and we love being able to share that knowledge with you. We are proud to offer @aianational @nwfa_hardwoodfloorsmag , @usgbc , | GBCI Continuing Education courses as well as our own @pidfloors courses. All courses are available online or as in-person presentations!

Happy birthday @popup.grocer 🥳

A year ago we (@portoarc @m0dge @robtruglia and of course, @emilyschildt) opened the flagship on Bleecker for Pop Up Grocer.

I met @emilyschildt about 5 years ago on IG. We met IRL for coffee and she told me about a little idea she had. I had just started my freelance career and was amped on bringing her vision to life. Not only did we open that 10 day pop up back in 2019, but people came. People loved it. And people wanted more. Emily brought the pop up all around the US, to LA, Austin, back to NY, Chicago, Brooklyn, and so on. I designed and produced the first 6 pop ups with very little experience and a lot of determination. Each market brought a new set of challenges, and there was a little pandemic in the middle of it all.

Emily took a chance on me time after time and finally she brought be on to design the big one. With the help of @portoarc we built something that we were all proud of. We got the doors opened and off it went. The store has evolved in the past year, with a cafe redesign by the one and only @madelynnringo. I’m so proud to have been apart of this project and to know Emily. She is one of the most thoughtful business owners I’ve ever encountered. And every time I see a colorful package of tined fish or a fancy non-alcoholic spritz at my local market, I remember the day when I’d open the box to put that product on the shelves for the very first time. Emily is a visionary, a dreamer, and most importantly a doer. ✨

We collaborated with @portoarc on the @kith Beverly Hills store at 262 North Rodeo Drive, the tenth Kith's global flagship store after New York,Miami, Brooklyn, Paris, Aspen, Tokyo and Hawaii and located on a 5,500-square-foot space. We are very happy to continue this inspiring journey with KITH 💥
