Last October, we decided to make a pair of shorts/ jorts / whatever you wanna call it..and we honestly did not expect it would take up to 7 months for our LOCAL AUNTY to complete.

We’ve always been trying to source and make things locally. We truly believe that making things locally gives us a different kind of pride in what we create. You appreciate it more when it comes from someone familiar — when you can actually imagine the person sewing every piece together. Even though we know it’s gonna take less than a month for develop skilled country to make the same pair of shorts. 🤓

Yeap. We went through technical issue after technical issue because aunty needed time to understand what we were trying to make, and some of the older machines simply wouldn’t allow certain technical details to happen. But the team from @poshblanc_ and us never gave up on it.

When the team told us the shorts are finally coming next week, we were beyond stoked and super excited to share them with you guys.

This feels like a new phase of product for us. Due to the limitations of producing something like this locally, we only have 20 pieces available for the first batch. Repeating this order might take some time too.

We’re proud of what we stand for — making things locally / beautifully / technically whenever we can!

🎬 Behind the Scenes 🏭

1. Printing graphics onto special sublimation transfer paper.
2. Pieces of white blanks are placed on top of the printed paper.
3. The setup goes into the heat press, which turns the ink into gas and infuses it into the fabric.
4. The colourful, printed fabric pieces are now ready to be sewn and crafted into shirts.
