Outside of working on Posh Skin (@poshskin.ph), Charmaine Palermo (@charmainepalermo) is an avid runner. 🏃‍♀️

She picked up running about a decade ago, originally just to round out her strength training. But it eventually became, as she says, her classroom in life.

Running also shaped the way she now thinks about skin care. “It gave me a different perspective when it comes to perfection. You don’t have to be perfect all the time, and the same thing with skin care. As long as you consistently show up, you consistently do your skin care routine, even if it’s just three steps, the results will come.”

Watch the full video for her full conversation with Allure Philippines on running and recovery (plus her post-run skin care routine).

After years of working as a stylist, Charmaine Palermo (@charmainepalermo) always saw fashion as a form of self-expression. Now, as the co-founder of beauty brand Posh Skin (@poshskin.ph), she brings that same philosophy to the humble pimple patch.

With designs that eschew the usual clear look and range from flowers and stars to frogs and cats, Posh Skin’s patches were made to be seen, not hidden. “You don’t think of it as an imperfection. You think of it as an accessory,” she says.

In this Allure Philippines interview, Palermo shares how her years in fashion shaped Posh Skin’s design philosophy, why she believes confidence is about what you can control, and why she’s betting on the global potential of local Filipino brands.
