We were lucky to spend some time today with Garry and Rachel from @postscriptfrome who wanted to share why they invested in Mayday.

Postscript isn't just an independent business in Frome. It's a business that believes the future of our town is worth investing in.

It's brilliant to see local businesses investing because #Saxonvale isn't just about building homes. It's about creating the jobs, workspaces and opportunities that will help our town and our local economy thrive for generations to come.

If you own a business, we'd love you to consider investing too.

Businesses and organisations can invest from £250 and up to £100k.

This isn't a donation – it's an investment and membership in a community benefit society, with a target return of up to 5% per year (not guaranteed) with one vote per member, not investment size.

And if our bid to buy Saxonvale isn't accepted, your investment will be returned, minus any payment processing fees.

Every investment we receive before we submit our bid on Monday 13 July will help strengthen our offer.

We understand that investing might not be possible right now, but you can still make a huge difference by sharing our campaign, displaying a poster, telling your customers, or simply starting a conversation.

If you haven't visited them before, Postscript is a brilliant independent #Frome business at 15 Stony Street. Alongside a beautifully curated stationery, art and gift shop, they also offer graphic design, printing, branding and creative services for individuals and businesses. It's definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous day out in Frome. Thank you to the knowledgeable staff in @postscriptfrome for the advice about removing and cleaning the nib on my @lamy_global fountain pen. It worked! And @thekatebutch this reject tin mug made me laugh so much, check out @fromehardware if you are ever in the area.

Big thanks to @random_weirdness for driving us and providing great company and so many laughs.

We have been even more busy than normal over the last 5 weeks … getting the beautiful Spring Show ready .. running our other business @postscriptfrome … and .. converting our big white van - that some of you may recognise from us collecting your work in - into our new home on wheels ! The rush was on as we had a target to make it to the @venice.art.biennale to see the work of the collective @theoldfirestation_portsunlight made up of a fabulous group of 7 including @peterhayessculpture , @rodgers_art.emma

So.. we got it done in time and have sprinted through France & Switzerland to get to Venice this evening to see the show tomorrow and meet the team …
This collective will then be showing at @thepedestalgallery for the opening of the Frome Festival on the 3rd July -
A special highlight for @frome.festival 25th Anniversary!!!
I will post more from Venice tomorrow and in the meantime the gallery remains open with my fabulous mum and team holding the fort while we enjoy this ride!!
