POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I gave up end-of-year lists on my show decades ago, and each December I’m glad I did. So much more interesting to find ways to make the records I played over the past year create some sort of musical arc (one advantage of being of continental origin is you don’t have to worry about sounding pretentious as everyone knows that’s just who we are).

So this is part 1 of my radio FM4 Heartbeat Sounds From 2024 selection, listen to how well the Twigs and Kit Seb go together, if in some different decade, how ZINN have a meeting of minds with La Luz, how Memorials, The Prisoners and The Silver Abduction seem to share a Hammond, how Rocabois runs into Ronen, how Conny Frischauf and Stefanie Schrank make Vienna and Cologne sound like two versions of the same dilemma, how Juniore meet Edna Million down in the depths of the reverb channel, and more, from tonight 22:00 CET, which is 9pm GMT.
And of course, I’m going to post the streaming link if you miss it...
