2025 | A Year That Changed Everything

Exactly one year ago, I said yes to a job I knew would change my life.
I just didn’t know how deeply.

Since last January, I’ve logged over 100,000 airline miles, crossed five continents, traveled through over thirteen countries, and witnessed wildlife moments I once only dreamed about as a little girl. Bucket-list experiences I never imagined would happen once somehow happened again and again this year.

I’ve seen the world in ways that reshaped me through wildlife that touched my soul, cultures that widened my heart, and people from every walk of life who taught me more than they’ll ever know. Somewhere along the way, I didn’t just travel the world… I grew in ways I never expected.

I started the year filled with excitement and nerves. Leading others across the globe was new territory, with so much to learn. And I wouldn’t be here without Zac. Thank you for believing in me, trusting me, and giving me the opportunity to have the best job in the world. I’ll never take that for granted.

To every client who traveled with me this year, thank you. You shaped me more than words can express. From seasoned travelers and photographers to those just beginning, you reminded me that everyone has something to teach and something to give.

To the local guides, porters, and communities, your knowledge, heart, and dedication inspire me deeply. You’ve become dear friends… even family.

I am not the same person I was at the beginning of this year and that feels like the greatest gift. I’m excited to keep learning, growing, giving back, and turning pages to see what comes next.

To everyone who followed along, thank you. Your support and encouragement mean the world. Sharing this journey with you has been pure joy.

None of this would be possible without my family. I have the most devoted husband in the world, whose support this year has been unwavering. My adult kids… my biggest fans, constant inspiration, and endless source of love. And our precious little girl that officially joined our family this year. I love blazing a path for her to see and one day blaze her own.

God, thank you for all of it. 🙏

Two tiny cubs, full of curiosity. 🐻 One wobbled right toward us, testing her courage… until my soft voice reminded her she was close enough. She turned back to her sibling and together they tumbled into a playful wrestling match, one nipping at the other’s ear.

These little moments mean everything. Cubs rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and play. It’s how they learn, bond, and grow strong enough to face the wild. Their relationships shape who they’ll become.

And honestly, it’s not so different from us. We all need those relationships that push us, steady us, and remind us we’re not alone.

We’re out here at bear camp having the time of our lives, and this bear just did a full somersault in the snow like it’s training for the Winter Olympics. 🐻❄️
I’m giving it a 9.5, points off for a slightly wobbly landing, but A+ for style and confidence. 😂
