It's been a year... but it's been much longer. She actually arrived mid 2021 from OK. And soon after we thought she had hit the jackpot because she got adopted. But over a year later the family stated the dogs were not getting along any more. Tilly started to resource guard food and toys from the other dog. So we learned more about her and know now that no other animals should be in the home with her. But now she's been back for a year. And no one has adopted her since. I personally am head over heels, smitten, in love with Tilly. I've had the pleasure of working with her multiple times a week for most of her time back. I enjoy her bold personality so much. Yes she is vocal. But she makes it so obvious why! She barks for many very clear and understandable reasons. The former adopters said that she was very easy to understand and appease. She barked to go out, to be fed, to get attention, to alert of other dogs and critters around. But it wasn't insesant, it was a moment of conversation and once she was addressed she settled. Such typical hound!!!!! She is a perfect hound. 😍 Her future humans need to be ready to learn her language. Hounds were bred for vocalizing and being an amazing companion, amoung other traits. So with this said, she does need a home that will know how to make her feel like she is understood. She wants to be a vital part of the family. People who can be decisive, confident and gentle with her will be key in helping her integrate into her new home. A structured and active household would be perfect. We never know who will end up falling in love and making it work with these dogs but we always dream. These people are going to be some high caliber folks. Tilly deserves nothing less than amazing. I will help the adopters get her adjusted into the home and be available for questions free of charge. She already has her bisics down. She knows her sit, stay, down, wait, place and a few other commands. She is potty trained. Please share her story or any of the many videos I have of her on my profile. Bingo's Surrender form says: "Friendly and easy going. Dog was rescued from a very negectful situation and ended up at (a) Shelter.Owner then adopted from shelter to save him from euth list. Owner cannot train dog because he is too big/energetic. Good with dogs, did well at daycare. Not sure about cats. Did good around kids. Has been kept outside so unsure about housetraining.
