Happy Rice Sushi🩵 in Boston Seaport is now OPENED! It’s a modern fast casual sushi spot that just started opening up until 9pm to entice the evening rush after a long day of work. The concept is elevated but approachable sushi that gives you a mix of classic favorites and more creative combinations. They also list the macros on each of the rolls which is the best concept so you know exactly what we’re getting in each box. We got the plant protein roll to start off which was a creative combo of tofu, pickled daikon, snap peas, with roasted beets on top which we paired with their carrot ginger sauce which was so delicious. We also got an all salmon box called heart of mind and had to try to salmon nigiri all of the fish was fresh and melted in your mouth which was my all time favorite! 🍣🍣🍣

We also tried their protein peanut butter chocolate and matcha balls which were perfect for dessert. They were rich and delicious and the perfect healthy dessert to end off a delicious to-go meal! If you’re in Seaport this is definitely a place you want to check out! ⚓️⚓️⚓️

And a special thank you to @ppturley for hosting us and being an awesome owner! I can’t wait to see the success and growth of this place!

We started Happy Rice because we wanted something we couldn’t find.

At first, we were building it for ourselves. Then we realized we were building it for the people we care about too.

A place where eating healthy is easy, every ingredient has a purpose and grabbing sushi feels like taking care of yourself. 🩵🥢

Episode 34 of our audio newsletter Beyond the Plate: HEARD is live!

Here’s what I’m talking about:
• a new fast casual sushi concept in Boston
• 100% plastic-free kids dishes, designed by a pediatrician
• my twins’ peanut butter ball recipe
• the Obama Presidential Center’s first food program
• another rant, this time on what is and isn’t a hot dog
• Chef Alex Stupak’s Instagram videos, which keep getting better
• and roasted watermelon seeds, which I had no clue were a thing

Give it a listen, share it with a friend, and DM us the restaurant, recipe, or product you’re loving right now.

Boston… THANK YOU. 🩵🍣

We truly could not have asked for a better first day. You showed up, waited in line, cheered us on and completely sold us out within two hours. The amount of love we felt today was beyond anything we could have imagined.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and to @bychaeofficial and @eatroehouse for making opening day even more special.

And we’re doing it all again tomorrow! We’ll be back open at 11AM with DOUBLE the sushi, focusing on our core rolls and a few of your favorite combo boxes. Plus, we’ll have more free bottled matcha from @bychaeofficial, more caviar bumps from @eatroehouse and all the Happy Rice vibes. 🩵

Come early! We’re making as much sushi as we possibly can.
