Once upon a time, there was a happy family --- where I was welcomed as a best friend by Prabhu, a sister by Nadhu, and an athai by little Sanchu.

Little Sanchu left first, and a few weeks later, Prabhu followed. I tried to stay strong --- keeping busy with work, spending more time on social media, doing everything to hide the pain inside, while trying to comfort Nadhu in every way I could.

She had a loving family who stood by her, but her world began and ended with Prabhu and Sanchu. She tried to heal, but the pain was too deep. We couldn’t pull her out of the darkness.

And today, Nadhu too has joined them --- reunited with the ones she loved most. Together again in heaven, forever in my heart.

Losing my friend is a truth I can’t change. But losing an entire family in months, that’s a wound that'll never heal....

I still can’t believe I’m writing this. I used to write to you on your birthdays, with laughter and memories. Today, my heart breaks writing this, knowing I can’t hear your voice again.

I wish I had called. I wish I had known. I couldn't hold your hand or be with you in your pain — and that will haunt me for a long time. Few months of silence, and I had no idea the storm you were walking through alone. That guilt is heavy, and it will stay with me.

You will always be missed, my buddy. Always....
