Babe Instinct - Disco Babes From Outer Space 12”

Released: 1997
Label: Positiva
Pressing: U.K. 1998 Release

https://www.discogs.com/release/26659-Babe-Instinct-Disco-Babes-From-Outer-Space

The lone output under this name, Babe Instinct was an alias for Praga Khan members Maurice Engelen and Oliver Adams. “Lone output” it may be, but what a cracker. This was another favourite I had at my residency around the turn of the millennium. It somewhat straddles genres and was fairly easy to insert next to house, trance, hard house etc. It also had that vocoder vocal that used to twist my mind right up, and everyone else’s to boot.

Maurice and Oliver were two very prolific producers, who have released an insane catalogue of dance music beasts. This song, along with Praga Khan’s Injected With A Poison are perhaps their most well known tracks but the list is endless.

Working under names such as Digital Orgasm, Lords Of Acid, Science Lab, Rhythm Kings and Somora, as well as Oliver working with Johan Gielen on various projects, these guys have got a hell of a pedigree.

I’m sure you’ll like this if you don’t already know it, and if you do know it I know you already like it 😁

Here we go.
