Deadlines are getting closer.
The question is not what’s out there — it’s what are you actually applying to.

This week’s selection is focused on opportunities that offer real support:
– studio residencies in New York
– unrestricted funding
– institutional fellowships
– and a $60,000 commissioning program for performance artists

Each one does something different.
The only thing that matters is which one fits where you are right now.

Take the time. Apply properly. Move your work forward.

2025 is the year I jumped back into painting seriously and not letting perfectionism and procrastination get in my way. I’m thankful for everyone who has encouraged me along the way and supported me in anyway! Thank you to those that have a little piece of me in their homes/offices. Looking forward to painting more in 2026!

<school_of_information> we spent a super fun 3 hours yesterday at the Pratt School of Information in class I671- Sustainable Interaction Design.

after discussing our design entanglements with “non-humans” as described by Ron Wakkary in “The Things We Could Design”, we dove into a hacking workshop with the “design after design” approach. Wakkary describes this as the ongoing, everyday acts of adaptation and appropriation that happen after a product leaves the designer’s hands.

in disengineering workshops, we ask: how can we, as consumers, through acts like repurposing, repairing, or customising, extend and transform design beyond the initial intentions, or after a product has become obsolete? instead of simply repurposing something for a completely new use, we aim to have a conversation between what the object's original use was, and how that might be preserved in its continued use. through this approach, we endeavour to reclaim agency over how (and how long) our tools serve us, and to build a better understanding of the world around us.

thank you @prattischool for having us back!
