That feeling of pure joy? Unmatched.
Going back to school in my mid-30s and taking a leap from the world of news to pursue my MBA wasn’t easy—but it was so worth it.

This chapter has stretched me, shaped me, and challenged me in ways I never expected. It’s been one of the most rewarding (and at times, humbling) journeys of my life.

To my tribe, my classmates, and @berkeleyhaas —thank you for being part of this transformation. I’ll never be the same, and I wouldn’t want to be.

This has been a time of intense transformation for me and I’ve been reflecting a lot on the ways in which my friends and family have shown up. I’ve cried to them too many times, sometimes at extremely random moments and for inexplicable reasons. (The most chaotic being when I burst into tears about how sick I was of everyone around me talking about sports after a day at the Olympic trials.)

My friends have listened to me talk about the same issues over and over again, giving me grace long after their patience has worn thin, as I work through things they can see clearly that I can’t yet. They’ve been protective of me when I haven’t been protective enough of myself. They’ve set standards for me and have hopes for me that often feel too high, but during moments of clarity, I can see that their expectations reflect what they feel I deserve. I feel very loved during these moments.

I’m abundantly grateful for the ways that old and new friends have supported me during this evolution. In voice notes. Memes. Pictures of babies. FaceTimes. Over coffees before work. At dinners. On walks between bars. With flight confirmations. On intercontinental phone calls. With cocktails and mocktails in hand. At piercing shops. And everywhere in between.

Not sure what I did to deserve this community but I am truly blessed 🥹🥲

P.S. Not all loving friends and family are pictured, but they are appreciated 🫶🏾
