Winter restoration project #1 complete! Zinc plated the old hood latch & bolts, repainted the latch mount, paint the front grille and ac mounts, looking much better now! 👌 Thanks to @j_c_cummings for all the help and hooking me up with @shinyhappypieces for the zinc. And thank you @precisioncollision1 for getting the mount repainted.

Much need nismo side skirts are on! Goes so much better with the type 2 front lip, which was fixed up and repainted as well. Huge thanks to Jarrett @precisioncollision1 for knocking this out! Will address the rear end at some point, wanting to go the diffuser route vs. just spats??

Datsun project still chugging along. Frame has now been powdercoated and we have the built engine back from mazworx. All of the body components are in the paint shop. Pretty soon we will be assembling a rolling chassis with drivetrain 😁

Part of the process🤜

One of the common problems on these 100 Series/LX470s is rust around the windshield. Mine was pretty bad… but fortunately I found Jarret from @precisioncollision1 🤜

Jarret was nice enough to share a few photos of parts of the process and walk me through what they did.

Once the windshield was removed they got to grinding out the rust. From there went POR15, patchwork, etching, and primer. After that it was prepped, painted/color matched, and clear coat.

Stoked how it turned out and can’t wait to get the rest of this truck sorted. More photos to come🤘

Here it is, another project in the books. This one fought the whole way but we persevered and ended up with a really nice finished product. Had to remove the old (dangerous) cage, prep the entire interior for new paint, fabricate a new cage and all associated components. Then it went off to @precisioncollision1 for the amazing paint work. Ended up not getting the carbon dash we ordered for the car 11 weeks prior and instead had to fabricate an aluminum one 🤦‍♂️ But all in all the car is much nicer, cleaner and safer than it was before! Also big thank you to @dimickmotorsports for helping tackle some chassis harness modifications on this beast. Been behind on making posts about projects, just been posting stories. Anyways here’s a 93 rs america that came in with a less than safe cage that the new owner of the car wanted removed and remade pronto! Along with a few other things like removal of the steel dash in lieu of a carbon unit and a sunroof delete panel. Spent almost 40 hours just cleaning the inside of the car and removing glue residue before I could even begin building a new cage. All in all it turned out great and is off at paint now.
