Really excited for this next era!

It’s all about community and connectedness, and @precisionweightlosscenter is evolving into something bigger than just a health and wellness services provider! By partnering with @syncosystem, Precision Health and other businesses can now turn patients into members and then members into one community. 🌎❤️

I’m experiencing a vicious catch-22 situation! I’m sharing this so hopefully you can avoid or better manage a similar situation.

Think Stress = Inflammation

October 2024, I experienced a knee injury in the Chicago Marathon that worsened before the New York Marathon. Stress likely contributed to the onset, worsening or both.

Since then, it has been a cycle of the injury and pain leading to both physical and mental stress, and, in turn, the stress has contributed to persistent injury and pain!

We can detect this phenomenon by checking our blood work, and I absolutely hate that I haven’t done this sooner, especially with my heart history and with too much on the line. Checking your hs-CRP, cortisol, ferritin and iron levels is a good start.

For example, my inflammation marker hs-CRP level was like 7.9 two weeks after the Tokyo Marathon when a normal reading is less than 1.0 and at high risk is anything above 3.0. I can only assume that my levels have been chronically elevated and at times even higher than the dangerous level of 7.9! THIS IS AN EYE OPENER!

Without knowing this information to check your labs, the significance of the results, and how to turn data into actions that can prevent problems, we wouldn’t know where to start or what to do.

Well, these are some of my planned actions:

1. Change diet. A lot of the foods that I consume irritate my stomach and intestines, causing either a “leaky gut” where bacteria gets into my bloodstream OR bacterial overgrowth! The consequences that I’ve experienced from this include skin outbreaks and a distressed gut.

2. To help with #1, I will take prebiotics from #transparentlabs & increase my intake of anti-oxidant rich foods.

3. Continue to focus on getting adequate sleep. I continue to supplement my diet with magnesium bisglycinate from #TL which is absorbed well. I track this with my wearables.

4. I will start taking anti-inflammatory peptides that I get from @precisionweightlosscenter, including BPC-157, microdosing GLP-1, and vitamins.

5. I will continue to strengthen the original knee injury

Regardless of having a history of heart disease, I would still monitor my blood pressure! It’s that important, and over 50% of Americans have BP issues.

Because of my passion for running and the fact that I have an upcoming marathon, I appreciate helpful data more than ever to help me perform, recover, and avoid the medical problems that exist in the back of my mind.

I use this portable device from @conneqthealth to give me information on my BP, vascular health, and blood flow to my heart and organs. It’s almost one week from the Tokyo marathon and I need to have my hydration, blood pressure, muscle/organ perfusion and more to be on point! 🏃🏾‍♂️

Disclaimer: Conneqt Health provided me with the device but I have received no compensation. I use because I find value in it. 🩺

Marathon Runner x Doctor x Heart Attack Survivor

@worktraintravel Came through for me before the Tokyo Marathon! 🦾

If you don’t know already, then let me tell you this about Thomas. He is the most genuine person, most dedicated runner, and most creative entrepreneur!

His printing business is taking off, and I couldn’t wait to support him.

What do think about this hoodie? You better believe that I’m going to wear this in Tokyo with a matcha 🍵 in my hand. 🙂

Thanks Thomas and I can’t wait to run some races with you again real soon. #RunningWithPrecision #SupportEachOther

Train Smarter. Recover Better. Run Stronger. ✨

If you’re training for a race—whether it’s your first 5K or your next marathon—your body is under real physiologic stress. Miles add up. Recovery matters. And how you feel doesn’t always tell the full story.

As a physician and endurance runner, I’ve seen one thing repeatedly: many runners train hard while unknowingly training with deficiencies.

@runningwithprecision and @precisionweightlosscenter have made easy for ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES to get their labs checked at a location near their home or work! NO INSURANCE NEEDED and results come back quickly.

Train With Data. Not Guesswork. 📈

You invest time, discipline, and heart into your training. Your labs should support that commitment.

Miles don’t lie—but labs tell the full story.
I created Runner Lab Stacks so athletes can train smarter at every age.

This week, Precision Health turned 18! ✨

@precisionweightlosscenter wouldn’t be celebrating it’s 18th birthday without great patients and clients like this one - L.H. Who is a Precision Legend and has lost over 50 pounds with Precision.

When I founded Precision in 2008 as a general surgeon and even before medical organizations considered obesity as a disease, people thought that I was doing something wrong and crazy. Today, every health provider and even non-medical provider is trying to address the obesity issue in some way. Precision has been a leader in the industry and continues to evolve for the sake of our clients.

L.H., I thank you and all Precision Health family members for entrusting us with your health. 🩺
