#strokesurvivor One of the hardest parts of surviving a stroke isn’t what people see… it’s what they don’t. People see me smiling. 🙂 They see me walking. They see me making videos. They see me laughing. What they don’t see… The exhaustion that hits after doing something as simple as grocery shopping. 🛒 The days my body refuses to cooperate. 🙄 The frustration when my words don’t come out the way I want them to. The grief of remembering the life I had before my stroke. 😆 Recovery doesn’t end when you leave the hospital. 🏥 It follows you home. 🏠 It follows you into every decision you make. “Can I do this today?” 🫠 “Will I have enough energy tomorrow?” 🫪 “Is this worth the setback?” Sometimes I choose to go anyway. Not because it’s easy…💪🏼 But because I refuse to let my stroke decide how much of life I get to live. Some days I have to rest. 😵‍💫 Some days I have to push through. 😩 Learning the difference has been one of the greatest lessons of my recovery. So if you see someone living with a disability or recovering from a stroke, remember…👀 You may only see five minutes of their day. You don’t see the courage it took just to get 🗣️there. Be kind. You never know the battle someone fought before they walked through the door #fyp #disabilityawareness #viralvideos Today was challenging to be able to get my fingers and hand. Write my name, but I never quit this month marks two years since my strokes and although some days I cry and get frustrated, but quitting is not an option, Share if this inspired you! I want to encourage as many people as I can, as I go through my journey recovering from my 5 strokes #
