Interior and architectural designers visit construction sites to make sure built reality matches the approved plans and catch costly mistakes early.

Key Things Designers Check On-Site

• Measurements & Dimensions: Verifying actual site conditions, wall-to-wall dimensions, and ceiling heights against the master drawings.
• Levels & Alignments: Checking that walls, floors, slabs, doors, and window openings are square, plumb, and level.
• MEP Coordination: Confirming that electrical outlets, light switches, plumbing lines, and HVAC/ventilation routes match the layout.
• Workmanship & Materials: Inspecting joinery, cabinet clearances, tile cuts, and paint or finish quality before permanent installation.

Having a dedicated laundry room or multi-purpose utility space is widely considered worth it because it increases home value, reduces noise, and keeps clutter out of living and kitchen areas. If you’re going to spend time doing laundry shouldn’t it be fun??!

Having a built-in coffee machine adds a coffee shop feel to your home and morning routine. With a single touch, espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes can be served in seconds. They also meld with your kitchen design. For remodels and design-focused upgrades, a built-in espresso maker is a stylish and handy addition. I say this is a MUST in home design for 2026.
