Mind wandering w @presiqn_d 🧠🚶From last week’s @gsls_students.uu art exhibition opening 💜

So happy that we have spontaneously decided to participate, even though the creative process has totally added some sleepless nights on top of thesis defence stress last year 😮‍💨 Who would have thought that our summer night fizzy terrace plans would make it to an art exhibition!!! But a year later, and you can now visit it on location @utrechtuniversity or online @iartmyscience and also watch our video interviews 🤭🫣

I don’t talk about the scientific part of my life on social media much, but i certainly consider diffusion imaging of the brain to be one of the most colourful ways to represent data. Besides being a research tool that helps to save and improve lives, it also looks very pretty. ✨

My master’s thesis was related to paediatric oncology. And the bigger discovery of that project wasn’t scientific at all but that I am not the type of person to distance myself enough from the problem to solely treat cases as a research data. It also took a great deal of time to realise that it’s not necessarily a weakness. ❤️‍🩹

I would love to know if these pieces have inspired you in some sort of way 🥹🫶🏻
