POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this cause will always hold a special place in my heart.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking during their lifetime. These are more than statistics. Behind every number is a real person, a real story, and someone who deserves to feel safe, loved, and heard.

Domestic violence and sexual assault are not just issues we hear about; they are realities that have deeply impacted people I love. Seeing the effects these experiences can have on the people closest to me has made me realize just how important it is to be a voice for those who may feel unheard, to raise awareness, and to help create a safe place for those who need it most.

This is one of the biggest reasons I chose to serve as Vice President of Philanthropy for Alpha Chi Omega. Through our partnership with the East Texas Crisis Center, we have the opportunity to support survivors, provide resources, and help create a community where no one has to face these experiences alone.

My heart behind this role is so much bigger than fundraising. It’s about making a difference, standing beside survivors, and reminding every person who has experienced domestic violence or sexual assault that they are seen, they are heard, they are loved, and they are not alone.

This Saturday, October 17th, from 5–8 PM, Alpha Chi Omega is hosting Casino Night to raise awareness and funds in support of the East Texas Crisis Center! Join us for an evening of games, raffle baskets, and fun for a cause that truly matters.

Every ticket, every donation, and every person who shows up helps us make a difference. If sharing my story and supporting this cause can help even one person feel less alone, it is worth it.

Please consider joining us, sharing this post, or helping us spread the word. Together, we can be part of something bigger than ourselves and help remind survivors that there is hope, there is help, and there is a community that cares.
