Sometimes family is chosen.

I met these young men at one of our RHS games when they sat next to me in the stands. They were kind, respectful, and genuinely friendly. We talked about football, life, and their plans for the future. During our interaction, they asked if I’d come watch one of their games. I said, “of course.” If it didn’t interfere with our own schedule, I’d be there; I have since been to 2 of their games. Not only were they surprised we came, but they actually remembered who I was. To 2 in particular, I’ve officially been adopted as “their people” and their “bonus Auntie.” What they probably don’t realize is they now have an Auntie for life.

It’s important to show up for people. Whether they are your blood or not. Show up so that people know they have someone in their corner. Unfortunately, due to an injury one of my new friends wasn’t in this photo. But I did get to see him play in a previous game. Keep being amazing humans and I’ll see you at your game this week.

With Gratitude,
Your Bonus Auntie

🚨 UNDER THE RADAR ATHLETE 🚨

Remember the name: Preston Molina | #11 | Guyer High School

Only a sophomore, Preston is already competing at the varsity level in one of the toughest high school football environments in the country — Texas 6A football.

He may be under the radar right now, but don’t expect that to last long.

Athletic. Competitive. Versatile. Still developing — and just getting started.
