Cosmetology school doesn’t prepare you for the emotions that come along with watching your clients grow up and leave for college.

It doesn’t prepare you for the AMAZING relationships you create.
It doesn’t prepare you for the many hours of growing to love your clients like family.

@prestondelly has been my client since middle school and now he’s off to make amazing memories @nauflagstaff
He’s less than 2 hours away BUT now he’s actually doing “grown up moves” 😩

Thank you @thebeauty_district for creating a space to have priceless memories.

Thank you Debra @beeandpoppi for capturing how I was ACTUALLY feeling in the moment.

And @1821manmade @thewetbrush @redkenbrews your products are appreciated to help him maintain his hair🙌🏽🙌🏽

Their final supper, if you will. 🥹❤️
I’m sure going to miss this.

These boys filling our house with chaos, shit talking, laughter, random drop-ins, swinging by for Chris’s cooking, and always leaving with a big squeeze. Some are here, some couldn’t make it, but they’ve all been such a huge part of this season of our lives.

And now, just like that, they’re getting ready to scatter across the state and the country. Different schools, different cities, different adventures. Our basketball boys won’t even be back until Christmas. 😭

Four more sleeps until Kane starts the great separation.

I know this is exactly how it’s supposed to go. I know they’re ready. But damn… I’m sure going to miss having them all right here.

So tonight, I’m just soaking it in. One last supper. One more loud, chaotic night with boys. ❤️

Recent moments and memories I find myself smiling at

Also, if you find yourself ALL THE WAY to the end, you’ll see the progress of Kennedy and I’s lake performance, and the aftermath of smiling for 1838471 pictures. Thats all, enjoy😋

Still trying to process how many people showed up to celebrate Kane. Gigi’s house and backyard were full of laughter, chaos, music, food, and love — exactly the way a graduation party should be.
Chris was completely in his element cooking for what felt like an army 😂 and if you know him, you know feeding people is one of the biggest ways he shows love. Watching him do his thing while all these kids piled plates high and laughed together was one of those moments I know I’ll replay in my head for a long time.
Kane truly squeezed every drop out of high school. The friendships, the memories, the experiences, the leadership, the concerts, the late nights, the fun — he maximized it all. And seeing the kind of people who showed up for him tonight said everything about who he is. Such a solid, fun, loving group of kids that genuinely adore him.
One of the coolest parts of the night was having his favorite middle school teacher and favorite high school teacher both show up for him. Those moments matter. Those are the people who help shape our kids along the way. As Kane said… “It was epic.” ❤️
But what’s hit me the hardest tonight is something nobody really prepares you for. They say when you have a senior, it’s not just your own kid moving on — it’s their friends too. And gosh… I’m really going to miss this.
For the last four years, these kids have been in and out of our house nonstop. Late nights, kitchen raids, rides everywhere, football games, random chaos, hard conversations, celebrations — all of it. I’ve gotten to watch them grow up alongside Kane and somewhere along the way they became part of our world too. Looking around at all of them together felt really special… and a little heartbreaking in the most beautiful way.
Thank you to my mom — forever the GOAT — for hosting, helping me pull everything together, and somehow always making everything feel warm and special. We couldn’t have done it without you.
And to everyone who came, stayed, ate, laughed, hugged us, and celebrated Kane… thank you. It meant more than you know. What a way to close out this chapter. 🎓

More photos to come…

Yesterday was one of those days you wish you could slow down and stay in a little longer.Watching Kane graduate from OC filled my heart in ways I can’t even explain. This school gave him so much more than academics — it gave him confidence, memories, life lessons, and the kind of friendships that truly changed his life. Seeing him lead a senior class of over 500 students beside his very best friend was already enough to make me emotional, but then looking behind them and seeing the rest of their crew — the friends who became family over these years — walking together through such a huge milestone just felt really special. And when Kane went off script to honor Ryley… not a dry eye left in me. Aunt Susie gave Kane the sweetest pin of Ry to wear as a reminder that Ryley was walking right beside him tonight, and I don’t think there could have been a more meaningful little piece of him there in that moment. 🤍There were so many moments tonight I wanted to bottle up forever because somehow it all went way too fast. I am beyond proud of the young man he’s become, but part of me still wants to hold onto every little piece of the years that got us here. Change is inevitable, but wow… this season of life was a beautiful one. 🎓
I LOVE YOU 🤟
