I will never forget September 11, 2001, when the Twin Towers went down. I was a young mother with 6 children praying for understanding on how to help them to go to school again. This morning I was listening to a recording of a song I was inspired to write to help my children process the changes in the world. We were invited to sing in New York City at the World Congress Children’s Summit. A powerful feeling of love and humility enveloped Ground Zero. Realizing that we need each other, and we rely on each other for safety in this country. We learned that preparing for tragedy comes when we:
1) ESTABLISH a safe ritual before leaving home.
2) SEE THE GOOD in others who are serving
3) BE THE GOOD to others and look for ways to help

Couldn’t have completed this project (or the trip to New York!) without the help of @mrrobertsneighborhood 🇺🇸🙏🏻

Happiest Birthday to my brave baby girl @maisy_anne_ 💖🎂🎉 I have been an emotional disaster all week…🥹 Maisy, you have been my bestie; counselor and partner in crime😅. You have shown me miracles, faith, and love through ALL THE THINGS.
💖I love you forever my princess!😘
