This Monday I hosted my first show here in Austin and I felt so freaking cherished and adored 🖤 💀 it was such a delight to see friends from so many seasons of life come out to the first Heckle & Horror! Circus homies, film world homies, hometown homies, Colorado homies, modeling homies, and ofcourse my comedy homies! I am so rich in friendship!!!!!!1 Thank you so much for supporting my love for watching horror movies with friends and laughing at the ridiculousness, I can’t wait for the next one 😸 by then I will have figured out the technical difficulties! These pics of me (the ones where I look like a sexy Grinch - on brand) are from the last @consciousbuildersatx event, which turned out to be a beautiful bookmark for the life and career I’m creating here in Austin. When I attended my first one in August I went in feeling a lil self conscious that I didn’t have any shows to promote, but I had this little idea rumbling inside for a horror comedy show I wanted to create. At that first event I met so many genuine n driven people bringing their visions and businesses to life. It inspired me to start taking actions to do the same. 2 months later at the October CB event that little horror comedy idea came to life and I got to promote it to friends new & old!! I’m excited to see what shows I have to share at the next event. @nateginsburg thank you so much for creating such a catalyst for connections and creative inspirations. Moving to Austin and completely reestablishing myself as an artist/ performer/ popstar super diva of circus and comedy and fire spinning, has been a humbling journey for sure. I’m TRUE to this, but I ain’t new to this! In Denver I stayed booked and busy without needing to do much marketing. What a blessing to be known, but now I’m being asked to grow. To start over from scratch, to hold tightly to the vision until my reality matches it, and to stay resilient when reaching out to event companies, casting agents, and show producers. And if all of that outreach goes cold, then to trust in my ability to create my own opportunities. Because I KNOW I’m talented, and hilarious, and strong, and fabulous, and eventually all of Austin will too.
