What’s in my baby girl’s hospital bag as a first time mum in New Zealand?

I wanted to pack as light as I could, as well as being as prepared as I can be. We live in rural nz, but we’re lucky that the hospital isn’t too far from home. And neither is town in case we NEED anything urgently.

She was a 90th percentile baby at our last growth scan a few weeks ago, so I have no idea if she’ll be in NB or skip straight to the 0-3m clothing, so I packed a few of each… just in case!

I hear the hospitals provide a lot of the baby care stuff anyway, but wanted to include some items I plan on using at home too.

Is there anything I’ve missed from my bag?

This could be our final week of pregnancy, so it was definitely time to finalise the organisation and details of our baby girls wardrobe.

Each drawer has a purpose:

Drawer one - sleep, burp and health

Drawer two - bodysuits and clothing

Drawer three - extra diaper and changing supples

Drawer four - feeding supplies

Then her shelves have a box of books and accessories, then a shelf of toys and my antiques from England that will now become hers, and her @bunniecaddie of supplies.

Have I missed anything?

I can’t wait to watch her hangers fill up with the most pretty girl clothes as she grows up 🎀

Nesting is such a joy in these final weeks of pregnancy - the excitement is real!

A little peachy moment 🍑🐝

@annabella.vnz wearing the new Cotton Smocked Dress from @dimplesbabywear, and how sweet is this peach print? The softest cotton, pretty smocked details and the loveliest little watercolour bees.

She wants to be just like her big brother in every way 🤍
Little feet do a lot of growing, so choosing shoes that can grow with them matters!

We chose @pretty.brave for our sweet girl when she was learning to walk, and we’ve loved them ever since. Their thoughtful designs, beautiful quality leather and growing-feet-friendly features make them perfect for all those little adventures, big milestones and everything in between.

And an added bonus? The designs are so similar that she feels like she’s matching big brother 🥹🤎 Plus, the quality means we can pass down his pairs as she grows into the next size! Because little feet deserve a little extra love.
