POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2016 is the new 2026.

That year I was VP of Urban League of Greater Atlanta - Young Professionals, President of Young Government Leaders - Atlanta, won NextGen Government’s top innovator award (because apparently someone noticed I was doing things), took home BDPA’s community service award at their national technology conference in Atlanta, and watched the adult cheerleading team I started hit their first competition.

Too many meetings to count. Too many events to remember. Too many priorities to list without inducing anxiety.

Sound familiar?

Turns out 2016 and 2026 are the same energy with different business cards. Still overcommitted. Still showing up. Still proving that “work-life balance” is a myth invented by people with fewer tabs open.

The President of Everything doesn’t retire.

She just keeps collecting new titles and pretending she has it all figured out.

Spoiler: I don’t. But I’m consistent.

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, myself along with 5 phenomenal women, had the privilege of being inducted into the North Broward County (FL) chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

It was such an honor to be afforded the opportunity to join this organization with so many prominent and professional women in Broward County.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry.

I look forward to being a valued member of this organization and to not only share my talents and gifts but to be enriched by the gifts and talents among those accomplished members that I come into contact with.

I had the absolute best birthday celebration at my house this weekend and I didn’t plan a single thing. My friends are really like that 🥹🙌🏾🫶🏾

I’ve been so swamped the past couple weeks, I couldn’t even pretend to plan any type of festivities. But my friends being who they are, wouldn’t let a year pass without celebrating me. Like… what did I do to deserve them?!

@yaazshewon literally prepared a whole gourmet taco spread that had everybody in a chokehold. Not a morsel of food was left 😭😂 @naaee.21 was the sous chef, and handled making sure everything was nice and festive for Cinco de Mayo! @sunshinedaniels @saharla_m and @b__rooo were on bartending and hookah duty all night, and @rirerocks was the DJ, keeping the party rocking lol. My husband gave the best speech that made me all teary eyed and the whole celebration was just what I needed.

I was surrounded by my favorite people and it was nothing but love. Literally the perfect pre birthday celebration. God, idk what I did to deserve this kind of love and consideration, but I thank you! 🙏🏾

My birthday is tomorrow, but thank y’all for the early birthday wishes!
