My first encounter with Rashmi Aunty was for barely seven minutes. It was then that we at @aangan_architects decided that more and more people need to learn from her journey.

What better and meaningful day than Women’s Day — when she delivered a meaningful, purposeful and powerful 70-minute talk on her journey of social work.

A changemaker in the true sense and spirit — at the grassroots level.

The amount of perseverance, patience, tolerance, hard work, sacrifice and dedication that she has poured into this journey is incredible.

Growing up, I always thought rituals were just things we had to follow, often without understanding or much enthusiasm. But lately, rituals are starting to feel like there could be more to them, something I 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 to practice.

Two years ago, my dear friend and I began traveling to Ahmedabad for Navratri, drawn by dance, music, and the joy of meeting people who share the same festive spirit. ✨
Seeing the same faces and playing garba together year after year has turned acquaintances into friends and created a sense of belonging and warmth I deeply cherish.

I come back from these visits full of stories and energy, and I want to keep making time for them, taking moments to just be 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵.

Although I’m still figuring out what a ritual truly means, I believe the value lies in practicing what resonates with us no? 🐣

That’s the kind of ritual I hope to hold onto, year after year.

SATURDAY GATHERINGS!!
Had a wonderful evening filled with insight on the earth architecture from none other than Ar. Satprem Maini from @earth.institute
The gathering was attended by inquisitive young and experienced architects of the Surat City who wanted to know about earth architecture and they witnessed the journey and projects by Ar. Satprem. The French born architect has made Auroville, India his home and is acclaimed for his passion for sustainability by the use of Compressed Stabilised Earth Blocks (CSEB).
Thanks to @dineshrsuthar @jitendra_sabalpara @bharatgpatel_ from @designworkgroup for making this happen and @vishal_aangan and @prakruti_ramchandra from @aangan_architects for hosting the event.
