We caught up with some of the ladies at VSU Homecoming to find out what kind of weekend they had planned. Were they keeping it cute and sweet or turning up the heat?

I don’t think people really understand how much this means to me. Like, I really be going home after these workouts feeling full. Not because of how many people came out, not because of a video or how something looked on Instagram, but because I know I spent my day doing something that meant something to somebody. Helping somebody push a little harder, watching somebody gain confidence, seeing people smile, seeing people who probably would’ve never met each other become family… that shit really does something to me.

And the truth is, while I’ve been helping everybody else grow, y’all been helping me grow too. This gave me structure when I needed structure. It gave me discipline. It gave me somewhere positive to put all this energy I got. It gave me something to wake up and care about. I’m still figuring life out just like everybody else, but I can finally say I found something that feels like it belongs to me. Something I don’t have to force. Something I don’t have to fake being passionate about.

Y’all done watched me try a lot of shit. 😂 I done wore a lot of hats trying to figure out where I fit in this world. Some worked for a little while, some didn’t work at all, and I took plenty of losses behind it. So when you see me happy now, don’t envy it. Understand what it took for me to finally find it. I had to get a lot wrong before something finally felt right.
And this feels right. I love being with the people. I love serving the people. I love watching y’all get stronger, and I love that y’all hold me accountable to keep getting stronger too. That’s probably my favorite part about all of this…we ain’t watching one person grow. We growing together.

Now we just trying to take care of this family and give it somewhere to call home. A real space where we can keep building, working, helping people and growing this thing the right way. So if you’ve ever believed in what we’re doing, keep pouring into us. Whether that’s donating, connecting us with somebody who can help, bringing somebody out, or just continuing to show up.

I’m grateful, man. For real. I think I finally found my lane… and somehow my lane ended up having

Mostly Sugar was outside for Dear Summer Festival DC (@dearsummerfestival), and it was everything it needed to be!

The vibes were on point, the people looked GOOD and the energy stayed high all day. DC showed out.

And DaBaby (@dababy) ? He hit the stage and gave us the entertaining, high-energy performance we came to see.

Reflecting on Friday’s We Influence Summit by @thecultureiscouture . God was all through that room!

I can’t put into words how grateful I am. This was everything I needed it to be. Anissa (@anissalovee__ ) and I poured into this daily—planning, crying, praying. I told her I had a vision, showed her the plan, and she immediately tapped in helped it come into fruition. And the we recruited @lei.lilo to help us get to the finish line.

Seeing it come together was a moment of pure celebration. Now, I can’t wait to watch it grow even more. To all who were part of it, thank you. Your energy made it so beautiful. From the panelists, hosts, moderators, volunteers, guests, sponsors, media, and every helping hand, you each had a piece of making history with us.

What’s next? Stick around and see 👀😏🤭
